12-14-18 First Post: First Board Meeting

My first blog post!  This is so crazy!!  Never did I think I would be a blogger.  I even had to Google how to blog!  LOL

Zieroff Ministries is an LLC (limited liability company) and so we don’t technically need a Board of Directors.  However, when God speaks, I know I need to obey.  He said Danielle, you need a team of people to keep you all accountable as you develop this ministry.  I prayed over each area and asked God specifically who He wanted to help lead in Books, Speaking, Blog/Social Media, Outreach, Classes, Connect, Coaching, and Kids.  Not only did all 8 spiritual leaders say “yes”, we also have 2 financial advisors to keep us financially accountable for transactions and tithing.

Last Sunday night, our Board met for the first time.  Mark prayed, the kids shared their heart, and I was able to update everyone on all areas of our ministry.  As I looked around the table, I fought back tears because I was so overwhelmed with how blessed our family is.  All this is happening, not because of us, but because we obeyed with small steps.  We started praying the Jabez Prayer every morning before school last spring.  We listened to God when He gave us ideas and wrote them down.  Lists turned into categories and bubble maps.  He gave us verses and people started praying circles around our family.  But it all started with small steps of obedience.

Our encouragement today is take small steps!  Take daily time with Him.  Sign up for a Bible study class.  Come to church with us.  Encourage the struggling mom in line at the grocery store.  Tell the next woman you see that she looks beautiful.  Tell your spouse you appreciate all the everyday things they do to keep your family running smoothly.

Just don’t be surprised when those small steps turn into giant leaps…  😉 DZ
