Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved reading books and writing stories.  It allowed me to escape into fantasy worlds and be creative.  My grandma has cassette tapes full of chatter from me because she loved hearing about my made up adventures and stories of how well all of my dolls were behaving!  Fast forward to 2009.  I was in my 9th year of teaching and I was teaching 5th grade for the first time.  I taught reading and writing to all 90 fifth graders at our school.  I spent countless nights reading narrative stories, opinion writings, and research papers.  I absolutely loved everything about editing and inspiring future writers.  It was during this time that God laid on my heart that I needed to use my passions to speak to the world.  It was one thing to tell 10-year-olds they were great enough writers to publish something someday.  It was completely another story to tell them I wanted to write my own book someday!  A few years later, I began teaching kindergarten for the first time.  For 180 days a year, I get to teach 5-year-olds the power of words. 

It was in 2013 that God gave me something to write about!  I finally had my material.  It took another SIX YEARS after that to complete it, edit it, get it approved by a publishing company, and then edit it a gazillion more times!   I am beyond excited for my first book.  It hit the shelves in June of 2019!  It is a raw account of my faith journey.  I have had many fears about sharing all this personal information with strangers.  Putting a book out in public for the world to write reviews about puts an author’s life under a microscope.  But I had to obey when my Creator told me to publish it!  IT IS FINALLY HERE!!
