Educators are a unique breed of people. We have the patience of Job. We know how to use limited resources to make everyday miracles happen. We realize the tremendous power we have to make or break the spirit of a child. It is not a job for the weary. All over the world bus drivers, noon aids, superintendents, teachers, paraprofessionals, support staff, principals, special education staff, and professors are pouring into children that are not their own. It truly does take a village to raise a child.
With two teachers in the family, we know firsthand the joys and tribulations of being in a school environment. We believe there is a need to develop a strong Christian support group for educators, where we meet monthly to pray together. We need to pray for a hedge of protection around our classrooms, buildings, homes, and cities.
